New York has given me that Refuge

In diesem Film erzählt die geflüchtete südasiatische LGBTQ+-Aktivistin Barbara Khan über ihre Migration aus Pakistan und ihr Leben in New York als Transfrau.

Barbara Khan wurde in Pakistan geboren. Sie kam in den 1990er Jahren mit einem Touristenvisum nach New York City und beantragte Asyl aufgrund ihrer sexuellen Orientierung. Sie ist eine südasiatische LGBTQ+-Aktivistin und ist seit ihrer Flucht in die Vereinigten Staaten Trans New Yorkerin.
